Danielle Bean says, "It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that."
1) I went through all of our crayons, markers, & colored pencils to get ready for school this year. I tossed all those that didn't work or were too broken to use. I even have some crayons from when I was a child, some 30 years ago. They were a much better quality back then, weren't they?
2) I condensed our family medical files from 5 hanging file folders to 2. Do we really need 10 info sheets on the vaccinations the kids & all those multiple copies of privacy policies? I think not!
3) I said yes to each of the munchkins at various times this week even when I didn't really want to, whether it was for painting, baking a dessert for the family, or sleeping in the basement (although that one didn't last the night!)

Great job Munches Mom! You already know how I feel about the "crayon" success!!!!
And I just LOVE your number 3.
What a good mother you are:)
Thank you for inspiring me...I promise to say "yes" today.
I echo Judy there - I need to say yes more often...I've been trying to practice that from "Small Steps" too. You always inspire me!
Much love!
Judy - Yes, I do know :) I was talking to my mom yesterday & she still has a bunch more of our OLD crayons in her basement!
ViolinMama - I love the "Small Steps" book. There are so many great ideas to act upon in there!
Colleen - Thank you! I had to change because The Cutest Blog on the Block is going through changes & my former template would have disappeared tomorrow. I thought this fit perfectly w/ my love of reading!
Great successes this week! Congratulations!
oh, boy. Now, I need to go through the crayons, markers, pencils, etc, too. We have many broken ones, that I'm planning to melt down with Rachel.
I wish your medical filing system success could happen here. With 6 kids and one with significant special needs, I need a dedicated room for medical records! LOL
Great work!!!
LOVING the new look of the blog! Congrats on your successes this week. Love #2. Mine take up a whole filing box and a few binders. Bleck!
Have a fantastic week!
LOL... great Crayon success!! I wasn't planning on it, but now this week I'm going to go through all of the dry (uncapped, sheesh) markers and eraser-less stubby pencils.
Thanks for the inspiration and congrats on a great week!
Nicole, Dianna, & Faith - Thank you for stopping by my blog & commenting! It's always nice to meet new friends online!
Mary - Thank you! I think I was ready for a change anyway, so I'm not upset that the company was making their own changes!
FCW - Good luck as you venture into weeding out art supplies. I was amazed at the great help I got from the munchkins, too!
