My dear blogging friend, Judy, over at A Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings, hosts this meme every Wednesday. Simply list five things (or a prayer or any thoughts) for which you are truly thankful this week. Voicing my thanks helps put my life in perspective & realize that, no matter how bad things might be, there is still MUCH good surrounding me.
1) I'm thankful for the wonderful anniversary celebration my parents' parish held for them. There were so many people there...a wonderful testament to their lives & dedication to the parish. (I wrote up a post about it HERE, w/ photos...including the collages I was able to create for them.)
2) I'm thankful for a very nice visit w/ my dear cousin on Monday. She was only here for a short time, but I really enjoyed our conversation.
3) I'm thankful for the joy & laughter the munchkins bring to our family. (Of course, as I am typing this, I hear them egging each other on & bickering a bit! Oh, nevermind, they're laughing now...such is the life w/ children!)
4) I'm thankful the munchkins slept through the storms that came through here Monday evening. Boy, was some of that thunder LOUD! At one point, it rattled the back door so much I thought someone was knocking on it.
5) I'm thankful The Prophet & The Archangel have been reading a lot this summer. The Prophet is working through the Harry Potter series (although I'm stopping him after the 3rd) & The Archangel is reading the Magic Treehouse books, averaging at least one a day!

Those storms sound scary! Glad everyone is okay. We live in hurricane alley and most of the time I love that my kids' sleep, except during storms like that. I'm just glad they are small enough that I can scoop one under each arm while my husband gets the third (can you tell we've spent hours huddling in a bathtub before!). Our big dog, is terrified of storms, our little one, takes twenty minutes in a hurricane to find a spot to do his business...these personalities I have to deal with, wouldn't trade it! Have a wonderful, blessed week!
I LOVE #3!
And we have some big "Magic Tree House" fans in this house! I've been considering the idea of developing comprehension/activity sets to go w/these books to offer free on our website. Your thoughts on that?
Thanks for sharing the lovely gratitude of your heart!
What a wonderful Anniversary celebration for your parents. And your collages are beautiful. I love what you and your sister put together for them!
