Small Successes

1) I almost had an interview w/ a local news station. After our scary experience last Thursday, I wrote up a blog post & linked it to Facebook. Several people suggested alerting the news, so I sent it to a couple stations. A reporter emailed me to ask if I'd be available for an interview. However, w/ the devastation of Hurricane Sandy on the east coast, my story got pushed aside. I did, however, get it out to as many people as I could on my own.

2) I helped a fellow traveler at the gas station the other day. Her car wouldn't start due to a dead battery. I helped get it jumped so that she could at least get to a place to purchase a new one.

3) I've lost another 2 pounds! This is the first time, in at least 12 years, that I have been below a certain weight. I actually need to use a belt w/ several pairs of my pants now.
