The Simple Woman's Daybook

Peggy hosts this each meme each week & you can read other Daybook's HERE.

FOR TODAY
Outside my window...It is absolutely beautiful today! The sky is full of fluffy white clouds, temps are in the mid 70s. It's perfect spring weather!

I am thinking...of the beautiful prayer (The Energies of the Spirit of God by Joyce Rupp) our deacon shared in his homily during yesterday's Pentecost Mass.

I am thankful...for a safe, enjoyable trip to northern Ohio to visit Casinodad's dad & aunt. We ate at a great Chinese buffet (or I should say "over-ate!"), took the munchkins to a park, & I even had a chance to stop in a Goodwill store near their house & found a couple of great tops for my trip to California.

From the learning rooms...pretty much done for the summer! We'll take a break for a few weeks then catch up on a couple lessons we never got to & do some other fun things.

From the kitchen...chicken nuggets & fries for dinner - yep, very healthy I know!

I am wearing...denim capris, a coral cotton top, & barefeet

I am creating...still working out the kinks to the fun beach party for the munchkins at some point this month

I am going...to California for my cousin's wedding!

I am reading...Hungry Souls by Gerard J.M. Van Den Aardweg, Wholly Mary by Chris Padgett (my newest review for The Catholic Company), & The Imitation of Christ.

I am hoping...for a safe, enjoyable trip

I am hearing...The Saint's Sesame Street stethoscope (Cookie Monster tells you all about your heart!), birds chirping, & the munchkins playing outside w/ their friends

Around the house...working on laundry & getting the house straightened up before I leave

One of my favorite things...unexpected hugs & kisses from the munchkins

A few plans for the rest of the week..."Mom Therapy" tomorrow, orthodontist appt. tomorrow morning for The Prophet, packing for a girls' trip to San Diego w/ The Princess & HelpfulGrammy for my cousin's wedding (The Princess has been so excited for months...her first flight & a trip to the beach!)

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...Big sister's lap is very comfortable, but I'm not too sure about being folded in half!
