My dear blogging friend, Judy, over at A Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings, hosts this meme every Wednesday. Simply list five things (or a prayer or any thoughts) for which you are truly thankful this week. Voicing my thanks helps put my life in perspective & realize that, no matter how bad things might be, there is still MUCH good surrounding me.
1) Thank you, Lord, for some friends of ours who are a dear older couple. They were cleaning out their garage the other day & sent us home w/ a bunch of great items...a 10 speed bike for me, an exercise machine, some Christmas decorations, & more.
2) Thank you, Lord, for HandyGramps' gift of writing. He put together a series for their church's monthly newsletter to inform parishioners of the New Roman Missal which will start the first Sunday of Advent. He then put it all together into a document so that it's all in one place. His explanations of the changes are well written & make so much sense. I can't wait for Casinodad to finish reading it so we can discuss it.
3) Thank you, Lord, for watching out for me the other night. As I was leaving our development, someone just coasted through a stop sign & would have hit me if I hadn't seen them in time. Unfortunately, that's not the first time people have ignored the stop signs in our neighborhood.
4) Thank you, Lord, for the miracle of babies. October is Respect Life Month. Nightly, we are praying for an end to abortion & greater respect for life at all stages...from conception to natural death.
5) Thank you, Lord, for The Princess' gift of music. She picks up songs from church & our local Christian station & loves to go around the house singing them. She has such a pretty little voice, too.

Wow, so glad for your safety too! Very scary! So much to be thankful for!
So glad you were not harmed at the stop sign! Thank you, Lord!
My eyes filled with happy tears to imagine your sweet little girl singing songs for the Lord around the house...HOW BEAUTIFUL.
Yay for Deacon Gramps in helping the faithful to make a smooth transition!
And thanks be TO your family for praying to protect LIFE each night:)
