I was reading a local bi-weekly newspaper Sunday afternoon & when I got to the letters to the editor, I knew I'd found my submission for today.
A woman wrote a letter that started w/ the following sentence...
"My faith in my fellow man has been restored."
She went on explain that she'd fallen & broken her leg while pumping gas. She was soon surrounded by customers helping in any way they could. Someone called a squad, another took the gas pump from her car, & several women stayed w/ her offering moral support. Once the medics came, she was pleased w/ their compassion, competence, & efficiency, going out of their way to make things as easy as possible for her.
What a wonderful story, full of many people taking time out to assist someone in need! I'm also happy that she was willing to share her story w/ the public. Too many people these days are willing to share bad experiences, but not the good ones.
