Deo Gratias!

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) Yesterday was our first official day of homeschooling for this year. Despite some early planning on my part, I still felt unprepared & a bit apprehensive to begin. However, God was w/ us & our first day went well. Deo Gratias!

2) Many times, I don't feel God's presence & often wonder if He really hears my prayers. Lately, He's proven that He truly is there & several prayers have been answered. Deo Gratias!

3) My dear online friend (hopefully to meet someday in real life), Judy & I have had several email correspondences lately. I've missed her wisdom & joy since she's left the blogging/social networking world, so these occasional emails are always a treasure. Deo Gratias!

4) I had a very nice phone conversation w/ a longtime family friend last night. She & her husband needed some Facebook photo advice, then she & I talked for a while afterwards. Deo Gratias!

5) Last night, I read Regina Doman's "Angel in the Water" to the Blessings. This is one of our family's favorite books & if you've never read it, I highly recommend it! It was the first time The Saint started to understand some of it. He & I had a great, faith-filled conversation before he went to bed...all about guardian angels being w/ us from conception & leading us to Heaven when we die. Deo Gratias!
