Deo Gratias

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) My father-in-law has been staying w/ us for the past five days. It's been a great experience for the Blessings to spend this extra time w/ Grandpa. Deo Gratias!

2) We've had some beautiful days lately & have been able to take the Blessings & Grandpa to a new local park two days in a row. Deo Gratias!

3) Fresh garden veggies...our garden hasn't done as well as I'd hoped this year (in fact, most people I've talked to have had the same problem), but my parents had a few things to share w/ us. I sauteed some yellow squash for dinner last night & it was yummy! Deo Gratias!

4) I made a big grocery shopping trip the other day & was blessed to find some wonderful deals, enabling us to stock up on some foods. Deo Gratias!

5) While Matt took his dad & the Blessings to the park yesterday, I relaxed & watched a movie all by myself...something I haven't done in a long time! Deo Gratias!
