"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart
Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God.
Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big &
small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an
attitude of gratitude!"
Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.

Before I share my list of blessings for this week, I'd like to ask prayers for the Lenaburg family. I have never met them in person, but I have followed Mary's blog for years. Their dear 22 yo daughter, Courtney, has suffered seizures from infancy & is in the final days of her life here on earth. I can't even begin to imagine what their family is going through right now. I can only offer prayers for all of them, esp. that Courtney may have no suffering & pain in her final days and that God will give all of them the strength to persevere & let their dear girl go home to God.
1) Matt has received the grades for two of his three courses from this semester & both are A's. We're still waiting on the final grade, but I'm so proud of his efforts so far! Deo Gratias!
2) Last night at choir rehearsal, The Princess joined us on her flute for a Night of Silence/Silent Night arrangement. Several of us were tearing up, including our director. Deo Gratias!
3) Christmas baking...Each year, the Blessings & I spend one-on-one time baking in the kitchen, each choosing a cookie recipe they want to do w/ me. I look forward to this time & the delicious cookies we produce! Deo Gratias!
4) Now that The Prophet is getting older, we've been able to watch a different level of movies w/ him. The other night we introduced him to Christmas Vacation & it was so funny to hear his laughter at the antics of the Griswold family. Deo Gratias!
5) Mrs. Miracle...This wonderful movie is based on a Christmas book by Debbie Macomber (one of my favorite authors). Doris Roberts is wonderful as the title character! Deo Gratias!
