Deo Gratias

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.

1) Philippians 4:4 has presented itself to me at least six times since Thanksgiving. I've been holding tight to that verse through the trials & stresses that have been coming up in our lives lately. Deo Gratias! 


2) We have about 99% of our Christmas shopping done. That's a miracle for us! Deo Gratias! 

3) The last couple of weeks have been busy & I've picked up a bunch of extra hours. That extra money has definitely come in handy w/ Christmas shopping. Deo Gratias!


4) I did more Christmas decorating this year than I have in recent years. It's so nice to look around our home & be reminded of the wonder of our Savior's birth. Deo Gratias! 

5) The other day, Matt's dad & The Saint were singing "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" together, taking turns w/ each line. It was so sweet to hear them together!  Deo Gratias!
