Deo Gratias!

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) The Archangel has joined my Light in the Darkness meme on Mondays. I let him get a blog a few months ago. (It was his reward for finishing a typing program.) It's great to see him searching each week for random acts of kindness & good stories to share. Deo Gratias!

2) I love when those moments of inspiration & spiritual direction hit, usually just when you need it most. I shared a recent experience here yesterday...Peace Lilies & Wellness of SoulDeo Gratias!

3) The Princess has been enjoying some of the old shows I used to watch as a little girl. Together, we've been watching Emergency & Bewitched. These & other older shows are so much better quality than stuff that's out now. Deo Gratias!

***Funny story about Emergency. When I was about three, I would sit w/ a plastic fireman's hat on & watch it. One day, HelpfulGrammy was in the kitchen making dinner. She had the wooden baby gate up so my sister wouldn't get in (it was one of those old ones w/ larger holes). I was trying to stick my head through & Mom said to be careful or I'd get my head stuck. She'd have to call the emergency squad. I perked up & asked if Roy & Johnny (paramedics on the TV series) would come!***

4) I've gotten back into making daily lists for myself. While I don't always get through everything I put down, it's nice to keep track & feel a sense of accomplishment. Deo Gratias!

5) Books! I've read several great books lately that have been recommended by friends (The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club and The Avalon Ladies Scrapbooking Society). Also, one of my favorite authors (Adriana Trigiani) has a new book coming out soon.  Deo Gratias!
