Deo Gratias

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.

1) For someone who doesn't drink coffee (other than a few sips here & there), Matt can make the best pot for me. He even brings a cup upstairs to me each morning! Deo Gratias!

2) I've been working w/ The Saint on learning The Our Father & he's doing an incredible job. He knows all of the first half by himself & only needs a one or two word reminder for each line of the rest of the prayer. Deo Gratias!   

3) Our new neighbor is a hunter & has a freezer full of deer meat. The other day, he sent two packages home w/ the Blessings when they were playing w/ his son. I used the ground venison to make venison chili & it was delicious! Deo Gratias! 

4) My SIL & her husband returned safely from their trip to India. They came by yesterday to pick up Matt's dad. They bought each of us some beautiful, brightly colored Indian tunics & some yummy Indian sweets. Deo Gratias! 

5) Even though I'm starting this morning off w/ a sinus headache, I'm thankful for the much needed rain that is causing it. Deo Gratias!
