Deo Gratias

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) Coffee...esp. that which my dear husband prepares for me each day! Deo Gratias!

2) Flowers...I've spent the past couple of days clearing out some of our flower beds & planting new flowers. I can't wait to see them in full bloom. Deo Gratias!

3) Rocking The Saint at night...Yes, I know he's almost six, but children grow too quickly. It's only for a few moments each night & I relish these moments w/ him. Deo Gratias!

4) My job...This past week, I've picked up a few extra hours which will greatly help our family's finances. Not only that, I enjoy what I do as a receptionist in a nursing home/rehab center. Deo Gratias!

5) Books...I know I often post this as something to be thankful for, but I truly am. Books are wonderful on so many levels! Deo Gratias!

Maria, love your list! And I can relate. I love coffee, and books and flowers and my job. AND I rocked my youngest son as long as he would let me!! My oldest could never sit still long enough but my youngest liked to snuggle - or "guggle" as he called it!
