"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
Well, we're slowing getting back on track around here! We'll be starting back to school on Mon. This week, I'm cleaning up the house, planning lessons, & relaxing after the seasonal rush!

1) Christmas Eve Masses were incredible! I was so proud of The Princess & her flute playing at both Masses. She wasn't nervous at all & played so beautifully. She even brought HandyGramps & HelpfulGrammy to tears! Deo Gratias!

2) Last night, we had a wonderful choir (& families) dinner at a local pizza place. The food was delicious, but the socializing was even better. I am so blessed to be a part of this incredible group! Deo Gratias!

3) One evening last week, we used our IHOP gift cards for dinner, then followed up w/ a walk around the mall. It was a wonderful family evening. Deo Gratias!

4) The next day, Matt & went on a date...out to lunch & some shopping. We decided that we're going to make a point of scheduling at least one date a month. Deo Gratias!

5) Also last week, I took The Princess out for a day of girl fun. We went to see "Into the Woods", bought some jewelry at Claires, browsed a formal wear store (beautiful & pleasantly surprisingly modest dresses!), & shared a plate of Chicken Teriyaki. Then a few days later, I took The Saint out for some one-on-one time. Next up, the older two boys! Deo Gratias!
