Light in the Darkness

"All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle." ~ St. Francis of Assisi

Let us be that single candle, spreading light into a dark world!

Welcome to my Light in the Darkness meme! (If you missed my post on the inspiration for this meme, you can read all about it HERE.)

This is the place to share good things that are happening in our world...whether it's a link to a news article/video, something from your personal experience...anything good that can bring light into darkness!
***************
Over the past year, I've seen numerous prayer requests & updates around the internet regarding the Justina Pelletier case. She is a teen who taken to the ER by her parents only to be taken away from them. Mike Huckabee followed her case & played a big part in spreading the news of her custody case (kidnapping), sparking an outrage across the nation.

The other day, at my parents' house for the 4th of July, we watched Mike Huckabee's show from June 28. Justina was finally released from the hospital & back to her family. He had all of them on to discuss the joy of her return to her family after 16 months of being held in a hospital w/ extremely limited contact w/ her family. (The few visits & phone calls were always supervised & she wasn't allowed to discuss anything that they were doing w/ her there.)

The Archangel came in from outside & asked why we were watching TV when we should be outside celebrating our freedom. HandyGramps told him that we were celebrating...w/ a family who's daughter had finally been freed!

This link is to the touching first part of Mike Huckabee's show on June 28. I just love how he's holding her hand throughout the interview. The joy in having her home w/ her family is quite evident on his face!
