"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) We had impromptu plans on the 3rd...our neighbors invited us to hang out on their deck & watch what we could see of the fireworks Downtown. The kids enjoyed playing together on the trampoline while we adults socialized. Deo Gratias!

2) On the 4th, we went to my parents' house for a cookout. We saw fireworks from three different directions from their backyard & the Blessings enjoyed sparklers. Deo Gratias!

3) Homeschool notification forms for the upcoming school year are filled out & ready to mail this afternoon. Deo Gratias!

4) Last week, I found a couple websites that shared make-ahead meals for your freezer. (Once a Month Meals & Mixing with Michelle). Yesterday, I made up five packages for our freezer & will do at least three more today. Then, all we'll have to do is thaw & cook either in the Crockpot or the oven. Deo Gratias!

5) In cleaning out our chest freezer in the basement yesterday, I found that we had more meats than I originally thought...thanks to Manager's Choice markdowns at Kroger. Add that to the freezer meals I've made (& will be making), we'll be set for a while on main dishes. Deo Gratias!
