Light in the Darkness

Welcome to my Light in the Darkness meme! (If you missed my post on the inspiration for this meme, you can read all about it HERE.)

This is the place to share good things that are happening in our world...whether it's a link to a news article/video, something from your personal experience...anything good that can bring light into darkness!
***************
Yesterday, as I was browsing the web to find something to share today, I came across a page on Facebook about random acts of kindness. The owner of the page posed the question, "I have $5...what should I do with it?" Following are some of the many responses received.

* Give it to a homeless person, animal shelter, or local food bank.
* Pay for the person in line behind you at a fast food restaurant or coffee shop.
* Trade it in for change & "drop" it on the ground for others to find.
* Trade it in for some ones & tape to a vending machine.
* If you're in line at the store & notice someone is short on cash & having to remove items from their cart, give it to them.
* Leave it at the bus stop, pay phone, or gas pump.
* Buy sidewalk chalk, a bucket & pail, or other outdoor toys. Leave them at a local park or school.
* Buy five lottery tickets & hand them out to people you pass.
* Pay for the toll of the car behind you.
* Buy some children's clothes at a thrift store to donate.
* Buy some flowers & place them on a grave that doesn't have any.
* Leave it in the next library book you return.

What other ideas can you add to this list?
