Deo Gratias

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) Our garden is off to a good start. The Blessings have been helping w/ the weeds each morning, going out for fifteen minutes each to pull them. Deo Gratias!

2) A neighbor of the Blessings' band director moved out & left an old wooden rocker by the curb. It's not in too bad of shape, so I snagged it (telling their director, of course) & plan to fix it up for our porch. Deo Gratias!

3) The Blessings got through their yearly testing last week & I'll be mailing them (the tests, not the Blessings...LOL) in today. Deo Gratias!

4) Matt's doing well in his college classes. On both pre-algebra quizzes he's had so far, he's gotten 100%. I'm proud of him for taking this big leap of faith & education! Deo Gratias!

5) The Saint is finally learning all his letters. We've tried numerous  things over the past school year...some worked, some didn't. I think it was just one of those things that would click when him when HE was ready, not me! I'm so thankful for homeschooling. We can take time & not have to worry about him being placed in a remedial program or held back. Deo Gratias!
