Deo Gratias!

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) Matt quit his job last week to go back to school. He took some time off between work & classes starting, so it was nice to have him home w/ us for five days. Deo Gratias!

2) His first two classes were yesterday & he came home excited about this new direction for his life. (He's going from banking to cardiovascular sonography.) Deo Gratias!

3) The biggest difference I've noticed is his stress level. He's not as stressed as he was when working. He's smiling much more (& what a great smile he has!) Deo Gratias!

4) This biggest thing about this change of direction in our lives is that we can sense God's hand in it. We truly feel He has guided us to this point & will be w/ us every step of the way. Deo Gratias!

5) And for something un-school related...I had a great Mothers' Day! We started w/ Mass...always a great way to start a Sunday! When we got home, I went back upstairs so Matt could bring me brunch in bed. I spent the rest of the day relaxing. Deo Gratias!
