Deo Gratias

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) As I am typing up today's list of thanksgiving in the darkness of the morning, I am hearing the first sounds of spring...the music of the birds returning from their winter hiatus! This is definitely a welcome sound after the winter we've had. Deo Gratias!

2) After some grumpy teenage moments w/ The Prophet last night, he took some time to himself in the basement, then surprised us w/ a kind gesture he's planning for his brother's birthday. Deo Gratias!

3) Last Friday, I decided to change our bedroom around. It's amazing how much more room we have after getting rid of a lot of stuff & storing other things away. I'm thankful for the help of the Blessings, too. Deo Gratias!

4) Thrift store shopping! I love the wonderful treasures I can find...books, clothes, household items. Deo Gratias!

5) We've joined a group of members from our church. Once a month, our families meet to pray the rosary together & share a meal. It's geared toward the kids & has been wonderful to help grow our family's faith. Deo Gratias!
