Deo Gratias

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) The Princess had a birthday on Friday, two days after my birthday. She was my best birthday present nine years ago! Deo Gratias!

2) No matter how many times I fail, I have a Father in Heaven who is there to forgive & stand by me. Deo Gratias!

3) Books have been on my mind lately. I just love to read & am thankful for the freedoms to enjoy the variety of books available to me. Deo Gratias!

4) I also enjoy reading to the Blessings. We always have a good chapter book going. I also spend some time w/ The Saint each morning reading to him. He, in turn, tells me something about the story in his own words. I write it down & he draws a picture to go w/ it. Deo Gratias!

5) I've discovered some great playlists on the Songza music app. My favorites are "C'mon Get Happy!" (fun, uplifting songs by Danny Kaye, Judy Garland, Shirley Temple, & many more) and "Lush & Plush" (Big Band hits from the WWII era). Deo Gratias!

Yes, there's always something we can be grateful for, even little things like enjoyable books to read or cool song apps. And it sounds like your family is an endless source of blessings to savor too. Deo Gratias!
