Deo Gratias!

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) I had my follow-up appt. this morning w/ my surgeon. Everything is healing quite well from my gallbladder surgery. I had five gallstones, the largest about 7mm in size. Deo Gratias!

2) I decided that one of my goals for this year is to help the Blessings become more self-sufficient, esp. when it comes to household chores & responsibilities. Last week, the three older ones learned to do their own laundry. (I'm sure the boys' future wives will thank me! LOL) Now, they have no one to blame when they don't have any clean clothes to wear! Deo Gratias!

3) I am thankful for humor in our family! It's so wonderful to be able to laugh & tease each other good-naturedly.  Deo Gratias!

4) The Archangel found a way to make a little extra money last night. He decided to give our family a trumpet concert & charge 50 cents per ticket. He even printed up tickets & programs. He gave a GREAT concert! While he knows this will not happen all the time, it was a fun money-maker for him! Deo Gratias!

5) Coffee & chocolate! My life is greatly enhanced by these two wonderful stimulants...LOL! (And no, I'm not addicted to either. I just like to enjoy them!) Deo Gratias!
