Deo Gratias!

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) The Prophet, my firstborn, turned 13 on Monday. Friday evening we had a party for him. He requested two cakes, both based on The Lord of the Rings...a Hobbit Hole & Mt. Doom. It was quite fun to create them for him. Deo Gratias!

2) I've been exchanging emails lately w/ a dear friend who has left much of the internet work to spend more time w/ her family. I really miss all the wisdom & inspiration she provided through her blogs, but commend her for the example she set...truly listening to God's Will. Deo Gratias!

3) Last week, I mentioned watching old episodes of Emergency w/ the Blessings. Well, Monday evening I got to star in my own episode due to pain in my chest/upper abdomen that woke me. After all the tests they ran at the ER, they think it's probably gallbladder related...not my heart. Deo Gratias!

4) I'm listening to The Prophet practice his saxophone while typing this list. He's doing so well. I'm so proud of both him & The Archangel (my trumpeter!) for their musical accomplishments in such a short time. Deo Gratias!

5) The hush of freshly fallen snow blanketing the earth. It's so peaceful to stand outside & listen to the muted sounds.  Deo Gratias!
