Deo Gratias

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) On Friday evening, we went to an All Saints Day party. We all dressed up as saints & had a wonderful time w/ our new friends from church. Deo Gratias!

2) Saturday, I worked half a day so that we could go to my parents' church for Mass, celebrating the Feast of All Souls' Day. They honor those who have passed from this life throughout the past year & HandyGramps included our dear baby. Deo Gratias!

3) Sunday, we ended our busy but wonderful weekend w/ a bonfire at my parents' house. My sister & her boys were there, also. The Blessings really enjoyed their time w/ their cousins & we adults enjoyed chatting by the fire. Deo Gratias!

4) The boys' beds were delivered on Friday & look incredible in their room. It's amazing what a new coat of paint & furniture can do for a room. Deo Gratias!

5) HandyGramps has an incredible gift from the Holy Spirit in putting words to paper & homilies. If you click on HandyGramps in the LABELS section on the right side, you can see several things he's written that I've shared here on my blog. Deo Gratias!

Thanks for the recipe, Colleen! It's will be too cold today to make it, but I will definitely try when it warms up.
