Deo Gratias

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) It's that time of year when I go through the Blessings' clothing to switch out for the seasonal change. When I went through the size 5 clothes for the Saint, I found we had enough to last him at least three weeks (maybe more) w/out doing any laundry. I kept a bunch, but the rest we are blessed to donate to St. Vincent de Paul this weekend at church.  Deo Gratias!

2) School has been going well so far this year. The Blessings have been getting through their schoolwork, each one gaining new amounts of knowledge & growing deeper in our Faith every day. Deo Gratias!

3) Our pastor, retired priest in residence, & deacons have had some incredible homilies lately. What a blessing to have these wonderful men guiding & encouraging us in our Faith. Deo Gratias!

4) Our trees in the backyard are beginning to change color at the top. They are a beautiful shade of red when fully changed. Deo Gratias!

5) Last Friday, we had are dear baby buried at a local Catholic cemetery that has a special section for infants lost to miscarriage. Even in the pouring rain, we had a beautiful prayer service led by HandyGramps. We have been blessed by the short time our baby was w/ us & look forward to our Heavenly meeting. Deo Gratias!
