Deo Gratias

"If the only prayer you ever say in your life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Colleen, from her inspiring blog Thoughts on Grace, hosts this wonderful meme each Wednesday. She says, "Deo Gratias is Latin for Thanks be to God. Remembering to give thanks for all of our blessings, big & small, helps us to find God in our everyday moments and gives us an attitude of gratitude!"

Each week, I join Colleen in remembering & sharing the many blessings in my life. This is such a great exercise for me, helping me to focus on the good that truly is happening in my life, no matter how many trials & stresses I may have.
**********
1) Helpful Grammy has been SUPER helpful this week! She came over to help me paint the boys' room. Deo Gratias!

2) We found a nice set of bunk beds for The Archangel & The Saint. They'll be delivered on Friday...hence the idea to paint their room this week instead of waiting until spring as we originally planned. Plus, the weather has been great for keeping the windows open to air out the paint smell. Deo Gratias!

3) Yesterday afternoon, while HelpfulGrammy took the younger two home for the night, I took The Prophet & The Archangel shopping at Volunteers of America. We hit the store on their 50% off day. I bought 9 pairs of pants, 8 shirts, a package of notebook paper, & a trumpet book...all for only $17.60. Deo Gratias!

4) While we were out, I took them to McDonalds for sundaes, then to Hobby Lobby. I'm not a big fan of McD's but I had a gift card to use up & the time spent w/ the boys was great. At Hobby Lobby, they used some of their earned money to purchase model cars. Deo Gratias!

5) Matt stopped to pick up pizza for our dinner last night. I was definitely worn out from all the painting & shopping, so this was a GREAT blessing for me to not have to fix dinner. Deo Gratias!
