A Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings

My dear blogging friend, Judy, over at A Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings, hosts this meme every Wednesday. Simply list five things (or a prayer or any thoughts) for which you are truly thankful this week. Voicing my thanks helps put my life in perspective & realize that, no matter how bad things might be, there is still MUCH good surrounding me.

Better late than never...

1) I'm thankful for today's beautiful weather...mid to upper 70s, light breeze, & sun. The munchkins finished their school work before lunch, so we packed a lunch & headed to a local park. The play area was not open, but we took about a mile hike through the woodsy area. (An added bonus...this park has a place where recyclables can be dropped off, so I loaded up the back of the van w/ those that were overflowing in the garage.)

2) I'm thankful for The Archangel's new psychologist.
We stopped his medication last week, so the past week has been quite difficult w/ his anger & aggression. We're working w/ his new doctor in developing a plan for helping him. It's still too soon to seen any results, but I'm trying to be positive & keep an open mind.

3) I'm thankful for 99 cent bags of ripened bananas from Giant Eagle. They usually have at least eight bananas in them. I got two bags the other day & we have been enjoying a lot of banana bread.

4) I'm thankful for spring & the newness of life it brings forth each year. I just love when the munchkins come inside to share a new bud appearing on a tree or a new flower starting to blossom. And I just love the mild temperatures!

5) I'm thankful for visits w/ out of town relatives. My aunt (HandyGramps' sister) & uncle are in town this week & we got to see them yesterday for a few hours. I always love chatting w/ them.

We spent this afternoon at the park!
Jacob caught a Garter snake and was delighting all the other park-goers (mostly young moms) and their kiddos!
So glad that you are having an enjoyable visit with family from out of town...what a blessing!
Thanks for sharing your Spring time JOY with us! I pray that your dear son will be healed and that his new doctor will be able to find the means to head in that direction.
