A Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings

My dear blogging friend, Judy, over at A Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings, hosts this meme every Wednesday. Simply list five things (or a prayer or any thoughts) for which you are truly thankful this week. Voicing my thanks helps put my life in perspective & realize that, no matter how bad things might be, there is still MUCH good surrounding me.

1) I'm thankful for the wonderful Christmas & New Year's celebrations we had w/ family & friends! Lots of fun, food, & festivity! Watching the munchkins when they open their presents is always such a joy & blessing.

2) I'm thankful that, even though we've all gotten colds, they didn't appear until after New Year's Eve this year! In the past, someone has always been sick for Christmas or NYE.

3) I'm thankful for our participation in our church's family choir for Christmas Eve! The Prophet, The Princess, & I enjoyed singing w/ others to celebration Christ's birth.

4) Along that same line...I'm thankful that when I went up to lead the Psalm Response, I was able to find the correct Psalm! (The booklet on the pulpit had the previous Sunday's response on top & after a moment of panic when the organ started, I turned the page & found the correct one!)

5) I'm thankful to be back in my morning routine of rising before the munchkins! I got out of the habit over break & it's amazing what a difference that extra time makes in my day. No matter how tired I was when I forced myself to get up, I seemed to have more energy throughout the day!

Your holidays sounded wonderful...even with the Psalm snafu! So glad the choir worked out too. I know those things can be fun but stressful. Hoping everyone is feeling better soon.
