A Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings

My dear blogging friend, Judy, over at A Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings, hosts this meme every Wednesday. Simply list five things (or a prayer or any thoughts) for which you are truly thankful this week. Voicing my thanks helps put my life in perspective & realize that, no matter how bad things might be, there is still MUCH good surrounding me.

1) Thank you, Lord, for the great weather we've had lately. We've been able to spend a lot of time at local parks...hiking, eating, & playing. Yesterday, we even got to see the new baby pigs at the the local historical farm.

2) Thank you, Lord, for helping me to realize a mistake/misunderstanding (on my part) w/ The Archangel's medication before we gave him too much! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, LORD!

3) Thank you, Lord, that Casinodad made it to & from work safely yesterday. There was a fatal accident, involving a tanker truck, that shut down one of our major freeways most of the day. He caught the closure before he got on that freeway, so he was able to take a different route.

4) Thank you, Lord, that The Archangel has had a cooperative week of school so far. He's only had a couple of small fits which were definitely manageable. And he's been done before lunch.

5) Thank you, Lord, for giving us our evenings back. With Casinodad's new job, he has regular hours, whereas before, some days he worked later than others. Now we can have meals together.

I,like Colleen, just LOVE this whole list! SO grateful to the Lord for helping you in that moment w/your son's medication...I had a similar experience in the past...something on one of the children's prescription did not look right to me as I was carrying it out to the check out desk at the office...I wasn't certain as I am not to adept at the doctor-jargon and measurements...but it just looked like too much from what my rudimentary understanding of those things was...so I questioned it...and sure enough...the doctor had made a mistake and what he had written would have been a fatal dose to Mary Clare!!!!! It was TRIPLE what she should have had!!! And it was a narcotic!!!!!

I'm so glad you have hubby home for supper again! And your days at the park sound LOVELY:)

Thanks dear friends!

WOW! Judy, God & Mary Clare's guardian angel must have really been looking out for her. How scary!

Happy to hear your having good weather and enjoying it. We have had good weather over the weekend but the week days have been a bit overcast/rainy recently.

Does your hubby usually have a long commute to work? I'm glad he avoided the accident. Traffic can be a pain in the neck sometimes. It is good that you can enjoy meals more often with his new schedule.
