The Simple Woman's Daybook

Peggy hosts this meme each week. Read other Daybooks HERE.

FOR TODAY
Outside my window...As I am preparing this the night before it posts, it is nice & dark outside.

I am thinking...of how quickly I got the upcoming week's lesson plans done & wondering what I missed!

I am thankful...for the beautiful weather the past few days. We went to two separate parks on Thurs. & Fri., hiking trails & enjoying family & friends.

From the learning rooms...back on schedule this week & trying to stay that way

From the kitchen...made up a meal plan for the next two weeks. Monday night's table will include kielbasa sauteed w/ fresh garlic & red potatoes.

I am wearing...still in my church clothes from this morning - a black knit top w/ a crocheted neckline, a pink, black, & tan paisley skirt, & barefoot (I did wear shoes to church!)

I am creating...just finished the lesson plans for the school week.

I am going...stay on task this week w/ school!

I am reading...All-of-a-Kind Family by Sydney Taylor (read-aloud for the kids) & just finished Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall & Denver Moore (a very good memoir of these two men).

I am hoping...STILL,that we will someday feel at peace in making decisions regarding The Archangel's care w/ his ADHD, aggression/anger issues, & now it seems he has Tourette Syndrome, too.

I am hearing...the occasional page turn by The Prophet & Casinodad as they are reading, the click of the keyboard as I type this, & that doggone fridge humming & rattling.

Around the house...the upstairs is looking pretty good - I cleaned our bedroom & storage closet last week (a HUGE task!) The downstairs? Ummmm...not so good!

One of my favorite things..."Mom Therapy" w/ a dear friend. While our kids play, we share coffee, laughter, tears, frustrations, & so much more...hence the therapeutic aspects of our get-togethers.

A few plans for the rest of the week...school, "Mom Therapy," planning, cleaning/organizing, spending time w/ family

Here is a picture or two I am sharing...a couple photos of the sky last week - such beautiful shades of pink, purple, & red
