A Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings

My dear blogging friend, Judy, over at A Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings, hosts this meme every Wednesday. Simply list five things (or a prayer or any thoughts) for which you are truly thankful this week. Voicing my thanks helps put my life in perspective & realize that, no matter how bad things might be, there is still MUCH good surrounding me.

1) I'm thankful for dates w/ my munchkins! This past Sunday was The Archangel's turn. We went to a couple of stores that HE wanted to go to, instead of just running errands together. I also took him to McDonald's for a sundae.

2) I'm thankful for some recent good news.

3) I'm thankful today is my last physical therapy session, however, I'm not seeing any relief for my back pain. I'm beginning to wonder if it's something that I'll have to live w/ & watch more carefully how I sit, stand, do ANY activity, etc.

4) I'm thankful when the munchkins are happy w/ the meals I make & can't stop gushing over how good something tastes, especially if it's something new! It doesn't happen often, but I love when it does.

5) I'm thankful for unplanned school lessons. Our city has been resurfacing our development the last couple of days. "Hey kids! Instant social studies lesson...come see how city workers come together & paint the street!"

LOOOVE number 5!!!!
So sorry for your pain...my friend is beginning something called "Lidocaine" injections? sp? Have you heard of this as an option for your back pain?

So glad that your children are blessing you with such JOYFUL days and appreciation!

Thanks for sharing your grateful heart with us!

Yep, I've been through several different types of injections & none of them helped. My problem is w/ a twisted pelvis...something not fixed by injections or even surgery (thank goodness!)

As my physical therapist said today, as easy as it is to align it in the office, it's just as easy to twist it again. My best course of action is to build up my core muscle strength & lose a bit of weight. (Easier said than done!)
