I Am "MOM OF THE YEAR"

(...or at least "Mom of the Day!")

About an hour or so ago, we had a pop-up rain shower while the munchkins were playing outside. I went out to tell them to stay in the garage until it passed. The Prophet had already taken one of the bikes & was flying around the cul-de-sac. He did come when I called, then when I went out to check again, they were either in the driveway or running around the sidewalk puddles. Oh well...it wasn't thundering, so I thought I'd let them be kids for a while. I even took The Saint out to join them.

The Princess in yet another pose! (I think that's the only way she knows to have her picture taken!)

The Archangel & the legs of a neighbor boy (They were lying at the end of the driveway in the puddles that formed.)

I LOVE toddler toes!

The Saint didn't venture out until the downpour stopped. Once he got into the puddles, it was splash-time!

So, do you think I earned my title?

Absolutly! I remember loving this kind of stuff as a kid, and when visiting my family a few weeks ago, I was laughing at how they were all running out the door to splash in the puddles the minute the rain stopped. Brings back good memories. :)

You DEFINITELY earn the title!!!
And you brought back such GREAT memories of our old house! One time, when we did this (and BTW, your streets/location look almost EXACTLY like our old street!)..anyway...we did this once in a torrential downpour...and all of a sudden this car pulled up and hit the brake lights, then pulled off the road and the man started getting out...I was fearful, thinking, "Ah oh...this guy is going to yell at me for letting me kids play in a dangerous street while it's raining"...Imagine our surprise when he said, "Hey! My kids are in the car and thought that you guys looked like you're having a blast...do you mind if we join you?" LOL

Great day! There is nothing, NOTHING, better than letting the kids play in the rain, even if it means spoiled clothes in the hamper.
